Principal Engineer - AI First Development Lead

Aidoc assists clinicians by precisely highlighting diseases directly on medical images, preventing misdiagnosis and ensuring that urgent patients receive the immediate attention they need.</p></div><h4>About this role</h4> <p>We’re seeking an exceptional <strong>Principal Engineer</strong> to shape the technical direction and long-term architecture of Aidoc’s AI-first development tools.</p> <p>You’ll report to the company’s co-founder and Chief Architect, and drive meaningful change to the whole R&D department, setting standards of how engineering is done well and productively in Aidoc.</p> <p>In this role, you’ll lead complex, cross-organization initiatives and drive architectural strategy across multiple teams, <strong>while staying close to the code and ensuring decisions are grounded in real-world implementation.</strong></p> <p>You’ll work directly with R&D leadership and all R&D teams to define and build the tools which will make Aidoc’s R&D organization 10x faster and better thanks to the new AI capabilities of the world. </p> <p>We will work in “startup mode” - close to our users, delivering value in quick iterations, while keeping very high engineering standards. </p> <h4>Responsibilities</h4> <div class="comeet-position-responsibilities comeet-user-text"> <ul> <li>Define and drive long-term strategy for AI-first dev tools in collaboration with engineering leadership.</li> <li>Define, develop, and integrate tools based on the latest AI technologies for the benefit of Aidoc’s R&D department. </li> <li>Lead company-wide technical initiatives, ensuring alignment across multiple teams.</li> <li>Lead and formalize engineering best practices around performance, reliability, and observability.</li> <li>Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve scalability, developer productivity, and overall system robustness.</li> </ul> </div> <h4>Requirements</h4> <div class="comeet-position-requirements comeet-user-text&quot
